What are the rules for safari and adventure collections? I’m not crazy about this new addition to the game. Seems to be no point to it and no instructions.

The game includes words that are proper nouns (Turks) and declines words that are in common usage (rusk, ken). Does the game have rules on this or are we playing in Wonderland?

To answer your question... "I do not want to participate in the tourney
But I often see my points diverted to the tourney without my asking. What can I do about it?"
Just don't join a team or if you have joined, leave the team.
Your points still count for yourself whether or not you are on a team. It doesn't do you any harm. -

Lesley, you probably know the answer by now, but for others, once you reach the maximum crown for a season, your crown stays at that level.
When you start the next crown season and play in a tournament, you start from scratch again. (Any crowns you’ve earned remain archived—tap on the crown tournament icon bottom left of the home page to see the crowns you’ve already earned.)

Anonymous, play offline—see below under “Tournament”

I reached the top crown in the last weekend tournament before the end of this current season, if I play any more tournaments will I lose that crown and go back to the beginning as the scale suggests?

BASIC RULES
Solve the word puzzles and earn “brilliance” points.BRILLIANCE
Brillance: The brillance points reflect the number of words and letters in the puzzle. The higher the brillance score, the more puzzles (words) have been solved—so it reflects how long a player has played and the experience with the game.Solve words that aren’t in the puzzle to earn bonus words.
BONUS WORDS
Bonus words: during non tournament play, for every bonus word you find, you earn a coin. During tournaments, the bonus words also count towards your total word count.COINS
Coins (top right corner on puzzle page): the coins earned during game play (from bonus words, from playing the daily puzzle, from solving the bonus word in the main puzzle etc...) can be used to “buy” hints to help solve the puzzles.HINTS
Types of hint:💡basic hint of one letter—randomly placed (usually longest unsolved word, but don’t quote me on that); if playing on a team, these are what 5 teammates helps give you.
If you have been given free hints, the number beside the 💡is the number remaining. If you see a greyed out “100” beside the 💡, you have to “pay” for them—if you press the 💡button for a hint, it will cost you 100 of your coins
🎯 bullseye is a one letter hint, but you get to chose where it goes
If you have accumulated free bullseyes, the number beside the 🎯 is the number remaining. If you see a greyed out “200” beside the 🎯, you have to “pay” for them—if you press the 🎯 button and then place the bullseye, it will cost you 200 of your coins.
🚀 rockets (looks like a firework) blast 5 letters randomly across remaining unsolved letters in words
If you have accumulated free rockets, the number beside the 🚀 is the number remaining. If you see a greyed out “300” beside the 🚀, you have to “pay” for them—if you press the 🚀button it will cost you 300 of your coins.
🐝 bees automatically fly around and randomly solve letters in a new puzzle. When you solve the word where a bee solved a letter, you will also earn free coins.
OTHER ICONS
PUZZLE PAGE
Shopping 🛒: (top right) you can buy hint packages, pay a nominal fee get rid of the ads, or watch videos etc.,. to earn free coins.⬅️: (top left arrow) takes you out of puzzle to home page
Aa: (top left) after at least 1 word solved brings up the dictionary and meaning of the solved words (tapping on a silver word also brings up the dictionary)
Crossed arrows: (middle left) scrambles the letters
⭐️: (bottom let corner) is a list of bonus words found in the puzzle (tapping on a bonus word brings up the dictionary meaning)
HOME PAGE
Three dots: (top left) list of puzzles. You can replay any already completed puzzle by selecting it form the list up to level 6000. You do not earn any coins or brillance points when you replay a puzzle, though.DAILY PUZZLE
The daily puzzle is a separate puzzle from the level you’re on. By completing it each day the right way, you can earn free coins over the course of a month.By solving the word where the butterfly 🦋 is, you get a star (if you solve a word without the butterfly, you get nothing—so try the word with the butterfly on it). The butterfly then moves to a new word. Get enough of these stars after solving the entire puzzle, you can earn 1 to 3 stars towards completing a picture. When the picture is completed, you can earn coins.
TOURNAMENTS
Tournament play: if you are playing while connected to the internet, after 6 pm Eastern time on Fridays, when you complete a puzzle you get automatically entered into a tournament. To access your ranking in this tournament, tap on the “star” icon at the top of the puzzle or on the star icon on the main page. The tournaments match you randomly with 99 other people who start at the same time as you. The tournament lasts around 53 hours til Sunday night.
(If you want a shorter tournament, don’t play online from Friday 6 pm Eastern time—go back online and complete a puzzle later in the weekend.)
(If you don’t want to be in any tournament at all, just play offline from Friday 6 pm Eastern time until Sunday evening.)
TEAMS
You can join a team for weekend tournament play. Playing on a team allows you to “chat” with your teammates, earn free hints (💡), and earn coins if your team places well. This is a great idea if you like playing the weekend tournaments. Some competitive teams require a certain brillance score to join and expect a contribution each weekend (your contribution to a team score is the score of your individual weekend tournament—it counts towards both)
In general, if you don’t play a lot and are unlikely to play during the weekends, joining a team may not be the best idea (don’t be that player on the team with 0 points each weekend—it may just get you booted off the team anyway)
...there is obviously more to the game than this, but this will get you started. Have fun!

Anonymous, the squares with coins are a bonus word for the puzzle. Anytime you see a coin in a letter space, when you solve that word, you get coins. Importantly, you have to solve that bonus word with the coins I. The letters before you can get to the next puzzle.
See the next post for further rules.

My wordscapes app is using 19.31 GB. My son’s is using 1.9. Why? We both are members of a team.

Why are people who have received the last crown allowed to play with the person trying to reach the same goal? Maybe after reaching the last crown, these people can have a tourney by themselves.

I had over 4K points for the entire weekend which is pretty good for me considering I was busy with other things but when I got to the end of the tourney it showed as 1500... something’s wrong with that picture... I wonder can my points be stolen from my ‘pot’?

Why does my star count drop for no apparent reason. I just got to 1500 again and now it's back to under a 1000. This has happened numerous times. It's annoying

Have a puzzle complete, but 3 gold money coins on top. Got one letter in one of them but don’t have a clue how to finish that word and move to next level.
