Katz, your Thermidor 'sitting sessions' were quite entertaining!
There weren't any appliances where I sat to do my duty but I had wallpaper. The texture and lines would form images for me to sketch when I would squint.
My dad struggled to have the "talk" with me. He had prunes and Exlax as examples of less harmfully probing ways than a pencil for working out my problems! I never did tell him...
Speaking of aurora - forecast tonight and next couple of nights is for aurora as far south as the northern US. If you have clear and dark skies (sigh, I have neither) - worth keeping an eye out (or getting up for).
***Oops, page 2 here, start below***
Another voice taken far to early from us. Like Freddie Mercury, anything could fit, I just fancy that her passion in this song disbanded the IRA. I wish the rest of the world had the courage of the Northern Irish and would lay down their weapons. Southern Lightning - Camel
It seems if you were a rock band in the 70's you eventually dabbled in disco. Stone's, Pink Floyd, doesn't matter, but when progressive rock powerhouse Camel dabbles, I'll listen. Manco, if you like the guitar work, try out Lady Fantasy (double speed guitar work extrodinair) or Super Twister.
For my 5th (who's counting) n last:
Hey Jude - The Beatles
Actually, it was Paul McCartney post Wings performing this that moved me. Energy. How do you feel it? Walking into a football or baseball stadium I feel a tangible energy. A Reiki practitioner has infused an exhausted me with an abundance of clarity and vigor that I'd never imagined possible. McCartney n this song though, was something special. Twice. I "felt" love. Really, it wasn't just a hormone called oxytocin. Love WAS IN the arena with all of us. I don't have a better word than love, but something was there.
od1 - love Freddie's voice on "Love of My Life"! Well, love it in everything! "You're my best friend" is my top Queen song I think, though hard to choose among so many I love. Gone too far too soon. A few years later, he might have been saved by the combination drug therapies that came on board in the late 1990s.
All: my hubby download the app and is eagerly playing now. He has that piggy bank in the upper right hand that a lot of people are kvetching about. Seems pointless since the bottom right hand coings accumulate and can be used for hints. I think he might have bought something? I've never had the piggy bank on my android app (he's on an iphone). Do you see this on your app? Any idea what the deal is with it?
I'm itching to start but will hold off to the morning sync time! We were too exhausted at the end of the work day to go out!
Already started my tournament and ahead by 1400, I think. Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers. Happy birthday, Canoe Woman! Hope to do some of that when we get up north. In fact, probably won't have Wi-Fi when the Tourney ends so someone will be happy to win! Good luck syncing. OD1 love your song choices. Jeff, you are amazing. Your mom is blessed. Cheers, Mugsy.

Od1, my quarterback is Mayfield. Lol🤣
Manco, long overdue, but my 5 songs are:
What a Wonderful World - Louis Armstrong
So many (thinking of the whining on the other forum page) peeps need this song in their life daily.
Solitary Man - Neil Diamond
Hope this song gets bumped someday. I'll replace it with Paul Simon's Kodachrome. Then I'll shoot all the wonderful things I see. As in the song above.
Love of My Life - Queen
Mercury's voice was taken far far to early.
Zombie - The Cranberries
OD1, I always think of prayer cover as the calling in for air cover (air strikes) during war time. Hope some of us connect tomorrow. The more who try, the better the odds.
Opal, here's to wishing your husband, you, n family the best. As a believer in the power of prayer, I'm also adding my prayer cover to your husband's fight.
HAPPY Bday, Paddling Nana!
Huzzah huzzah, Mugsybar! Don't draft Luck ;-)...
Wordsmithwick, I'll be trying the 10:05 again too. I can't play until later but I wanna try and sync just to give it a go. Then, looking up at all y'all's scores will be my Aurora!
Mugsy ... try tomorrow morning, if your not too hungover!!!

I'm at a fantasy football draft. I'm also totally hesitant on starting a tournament at the moment. Also a little drunk. Lol
Thanks Cheryl, I'm not sure who all are trying to sync Saturday morning with SAPPHIRE and me. I think we had maybes from Charlie, Jeff, Opal, and Paddling Nana for Saturday at 7:05 AM Pacific, 10:05 AM Eastern time.

Wordsmithwick, l will try on Saturday AM but not sure at this point if l can. Thanks for the invite though!
Cheryl, We are already doing 10:05 EST Saturday morning.
I have a second device if you'd prefer to start tonight or have two devices.

Wordsmithwick, l can try to sync but probably won’t be until late Friday evening or early Sat AM as visiting with spouses family. I am on EST so anytime that will work for you.
Do you want to try to sync later tonight? Can't remember your time zone.
Last weeks tournament -- was funny. It seemed to end up that the leaders tried to hold their positions while scoring the fewest points possible. :) After a failed sync attempt, Friday night there didn't seem to be much competition and I led with 678 points. Overnight, "jill" showed up and took the lead with 1172 points. I played a couple of hours through the day to get a small lead (100-200 points.) I was up at 4am Sunday and saw "jill" had scored 400 points in the night and caught me. I was busy and when I checked in again around 5am, "jill" was almost 400 points ahead. Things were quiet, so I ended up playing for an hour and a half, scoring about 900 points to "jill"'s 500 points and easing into the lead. That was exhilarating, but I think chasing her down may have discouraged her from a last-minute head-to-head duel later. When I checked in again Sunday 11am, she had scored another 500 points, but at least both of us had put a lot of distance on 3rd (3247 - 2768 - 1668.) I played about an hour that afternoon to get a small lead. About that time someone new showed up on the scene - "Marna" with 2222 points in 3rd. "Marna wasn't fast, but kept plugging away through the evening:
6pm 3329 - 3247 - 2596
7pm 3329 - 3247 - 2769
8pm 3329 - 3247 - 2842
9pm 3329 - 3247 - 3016
9:30pm 3329 - 3247 - 3107
10:30pm 3329 - 3247 - 3124
About this time, "jill" and I got nervous, and played a few minutes (5, in my case) to bump our scores. The final scores were:
1 Jeff 3367
2 "jill" 3271
3 "Marna" 3232
Like I said, a funny tournament...
I played a relaxing 5.6 hours to score 3367 points at 601 WPH.
New word: durn (I got sick and tired of urn and figured I'd give it a try. :)
Repeated words (in about 240 levels): genteel and dogleg
Hi, all. Been a busy week. My mom has kind of gotten into a pattern of being awake/alert (if not necessarily lucid) for 18+ hours at a time, then sleeping most of the next day or two to recover. We had two of those this week and I don't think she's quite over it yet (she's slept a few hours at a time but not shifted into "overdrive" yet.) Thanks for all the best wishes from everyone.
Opal, best wishes to you and your husband.
Paddling Nana, have a happy birthday.
I plan to try to sync this weekend. I'm thinking that probably the best time to sync is whenever the fewest people are joining, to give us the biggest window before a given tournament fills up. I'm guessing that most players are in the US, so probably the most inconvenient times (i.e.: middle of the night) for us would be the best. :) All things considered, Saturday morning should be pretty good I think...
Opal, I'll be keeping you and your hubby in my thoughts and send wishes for a positive outcome. Hope you see some aurora. I miss seeing them as even when we have some solar activity creating aurora at lower latitudes, the city lights and frequent cloud cover obscure them. I've seen some spectacular multi-coloured ones in the Rockies!
Charlie - good luck in FL. I hope the storm prep goes smoothly!
Nana, the joy of being slow is that everybody already knows my excuse.
