FIX THE CHAT RESTRICTIONS! Ease up on the filters for chatting with your team.
SS- Not interested in your "polite request," or anything else you have to say.
Yes, Abby, all's well. xo
FIX THE CHAT RESTRICTIONS!
SilverStar, please better illustrate the forum etiquette you intend by example. Only one of your posts had any relevant content. You get zero credit on 4 other posts for summarization, moderation, and digs. Don't expect a Dragon🐉 to lie idle when poked; we're gonna credit you with my two-off topic posts which would not have existed if you had stayed on topic. You're now up to 6 off-topic posts.
So sorry Doofus. Phone rang while I was typing and obviously affected my normally excellent spelling. Any chance of you posting on the subject of chat restrictions?
SilverStar, I’m sorry, I’m confused . . . how DOES one read a post “propoerly “?
Why is “I’m going to go ride my horse” an issue???? Seriously?
And Dragon and Bensword - with your experience of the game why not leave a comment on chat restrictions?
Great comments from Tippytoes and Fran which really outline the chat restrictions very well. If anyone else visits here and feels strongly about the difficulties of chatting in the game please do post here.
Fran Murray, I agree the restrictions are very frustrating. It is almost a game within a game trying to figure it, but with no rules or rules that change arbitrarily. In their attempt to protect minors, they have gone way overboard not allowing words or phases that, in the proper context, are totally innocent.
One glaring example is this: I could not send “you can do it”. It was obviously not in the context of some wild orgy but in the context of a close weekend tournament to a fellow teammate (were they having an orgy AND playing Wordscapes? I’ll say no)
PEOPLE FUN—put the “fun” back in the game and put the “intelligence” back in your artificial intelligence word surveillance program by putting it back to were it was.
Unless a team is composed completely of “really bad peoples with bad motives for minors” shall we say, teams can police themselves by reporting the comments. I have inquired about what happens to reported comments, and the game developers have told me that people can be barred from teams and tournaments. So, they do have some method of enforcement.
Let’s just make lemonade with the lemons they’ve given us for now, but hopefully they get the message and go back to basic screening for bad words and the really obvious stuff.
Have fun everyone.
Thanks so much Bensword, and so fortunate we are to have found our way to PersonaNonGrata, and the great team we have. A supportive community environment with records being set every week. Truly a wonderful team with every team member bringing a little something different.
Silverstar, appreciate it if you don't go around spreading lies about our team. Don't motivate us to drop in on your syncs with other teams.
I think this thread was about an interesting topic.... what was that now?
Somehow I got mixed up in the mess by trying to help ALLIE because she was wondering about the chat restrictions.
Thank you to those who helped clear up the confusion.
Katz, not sure what the situation was all about ,but, all is well that ends well, right?🙂
WSW,it is really nice of you try to protect the children. I didn't know you ended up ill from it though!

I too am finding the restrictions in the team chat quite frustrating. After 2 or 3 attempts at trying to write a message for it to be not posted with no specific explanation of which word is causing the issues I just give up. It stops the chat on the teams from being fun. ‘Phone’ seems to be an offensive word and often people’s names. Very excessive and obstructive censorship in a game meant for fun
Silver Star, where are you getting your info? No disrespect intended.
But PNG has had exactly two folks quit in the last two weeks, one of them for very unfortunate personal circs, and one who stayed for less than a day, never chatted or gave/requested helps.
Don’t think that constitutes an exodus.
And, again with respect, just because you didn’t “get” my comments, doesn’t mean they’re not on point. Pretty sure others did get.
Don’t mean to be adversarial. Just sayin’.
When Stephanie first posted this thread I thought it was a great idea and started to encourage all players to post here to complain about the ridiculous censorship. We could then go back to PF and refer them to these posts. Unfortunately Katz decided to leap in and start having a go at people. Katz - you really need to read peoples' posts propoerly before replying in haste and making yourself look foolish. It was obvious from Abby's first post that she was quoting from a PF reply and I am not sure that 'ugh' was in any way helpful or courteous.
Judy then posted a good comment outlining problems with team communication and posing a question to PF. Yet again you didn't take the time to read it properly and jumped in with unpleasant digs about something that everyone else has moved on from - except you.
And I also think that you'll find that the only recent team exodus has been from PersonaNonGrata. They probably got as fed up with you as the rest of us!
So a polite request - please stick to the topic theme and stop spouting your vitriolic and bigoted rubbish. Same goes for you Bensword - why not post a sensible comment about chat censorship.
Abby, thanks for trying to defend me, but it's making you a target here. Katz is right. I became very obsessive about trying to protect teens on the new team format. When the closed teams didn't work, the open teams left children and teens very vulnerable to predators. I was seeing posts that were not fit for anyone to see. On one team I visited I hit the delete and report button 20 times before the person either stopped posting or was finally booted from the system. I assume that the censorship, annoying as it is, is an attempt to protect teens from vulgarity. While I applaud this effort, it is very badly implemented. I am particularly offended that the words Jesus, Christ, and Christmas are censored.
KATZ, I became so obsessive over the dangers to the teens that I wasn't eating or sleeping properly, and ended up in the hospital after passing out several times. If this makes me a bad person, and worthy of derision in your eyes, have at it.
And if anyone from Wordscapes ever reads these posts, you really need to work on your censorship programs. They aren't working and are downright annoying. They are also discriminatory against Christians. You need to do better.
FIX THE CHAT RESTRICTIONS!
Good luck to you too, Abby! :)
Maybe I should just not post anywhere so that I don't aggravate you,or pastafarian,or whoever!
Good luck in your tournaments!☺️
Abby- I don't care.
Oh,were you thinking that I was still part of juggernaut, katz? I actually am not in juggernaut anymore.
